Stephanie Hubbard, Creative Editor

I’ve been working as a film editor since 1996.   In that time I have edited films on subjects as varied as the Hungarian Revolution, the root causes of child molestation and a rock star’s family. I’ve made television to tell stories of American  soldiers in Iraq, and to affect how people vote on gay marriage.  Along the way, I do my best to share it all with my students.

Your film will tell you what it wants to be - and at the same time, it’s important to be clear and say what you want to say, and to really use structure to help you do that.

I think my number one asset in approaching any project is my experience:  I know that no matter how impossible things seem (churning through 100 hours of footage with no script) that it all contains an amazing story, and that we will find it!

About me: I love helping people create great films,  hiking with my dogs, and swimming in the ocean.

By the way, That’s Lucy on the beach with me, and Blue in the small shot.
